Principal photography has begun on Burning Man, writer/director Jonathan Teplitzky's reckless, sexy, irreverent and ultimately tear-jerkingly beautiful story of a father and son's journey back to happiness.

 

Matthew Goode (A Single Man, Leap Year, Watchmen) plays Tom, an English chef with a chic restaurant on Bondi Beach. He's a man behaving badly, surrounded by women trying in their own ways to help him put his life back together.

GORDON SYRON is the most important Urban Aboriginal Artist in Australia. This exhibition of powerful paintings remembers the dead from all wars. The paintings reference Australians sent overseas to be murdered in wars which had little to do with Australia but substantially deal with the war that has been waged continuously against Australia's indigenous people since 1788.

The hard task of achieving nothing. The intrinsic value of beer. Oh my god what happened to all my metaphysical certainties. 

 The other day I got together with some artist friends to discuss the possibility of putting on a show.  We met at a pub and drank beers and tossed ideas into the air where they vanished wonderfully in front of our eyes.  In the end we left the table with a few words and an image signifying the productive futility of our process.  Engineers and economists would have been unconsolable at the outcome, but as artists, we were quite encouraged to have worked so hard and ended up with nothing – it’s
