Submissions close February 20, which means you have just one week left to share your best work in one or more of 13 categories. There are categories for everyone, and you don’t have to be a professional filmmaker to show us your stuff. If the looming deadline doesn’t light a fire under your fingertips, maybe the chance to have your videos seen by famous people will inspire you. As you may have heard, our newly announced Festival + Awards judges include actor/director/Renaissance dude James Franco, world’s funniest human Aziz Ansari, 2012 Oscar Nominee Lucy Walker, snowboard superstar Travis Rice, and Radiohead’s Colin Greenwood. Don’t miss your chance: Submit today!

Dec 1 to Dec 17 Opening Thu, Dec 1, 6-8pm As our dear Georgie went before him, Alex is about to embark on the open ocean of exhibition with his first solo show at MOP. Come join our little guy as he undergoes that right of passage that in other cultures would be marked by cutting a bit of his penis off. Should be a great night with a heady line up including Dara Gill and Brown Council. ‘Blank Canvas’ is an exhibition of large scale photographs of homes that have been lived in for more than 30 years taken on the day of their sale by auction. Alex Wisser’s photography captures the decorative decisions layered decade upon decade and the traces of the lives lived within these interiors. The potency of these scenes is rendered salient by the fact that they are taken on the day of their sale and within the awareness that this will result in their ultimate erasure through renovation. Thirty years of one person’s life is another person’s blank canvas. INDEX. 95907704 60 Hutchinson Street St Peters www.indexspace.com.au

Often a subtle understanding of complex processes is involved, enabling a particular function. These objects, embodiments of thought and understanding, often exist beyond the realm of common experience, obscured either by the complexity of their nature, or concealed as military or industrial secrets.
